What is the EarthAbilities Playgroups?
EarthAbilities Playgroups are inclusive, nature based playgroups designed for ALL children. EarthAbilities Playgroups gives these children the opportunity to explore the great outdoors in a safe and nurturing environment.
How is EarthAbilities Playgroups Designed?
EarthAbilities Playgroups are created through a handbook. The handbook is available on the website. Community organizations and schools can access this handbook to create their own playgroups serving children ages 1-12 or add on activities to already existing programs that serve teens. Although EarthAbilities Playgroups are designed for ALL children, any organization or school can create an EarthAbilities Playgroup.

What are the STEAM Activities?
STEAM means Science Technology, Engineering, The Arts and Math. For the Junior Earth Explorers and Earth Explorers Playgroups, there is an option to get a STEAM Activity Guide. This activity guide will feature a few ways you can implement STEAM in the natural environment.
How do I design the activities?
You determine how you want to design the activities. The handbook will include a few example activities to get you started (as well as foundations to expand on) and will have some resources for ideas. Pinterest is a great site for looking up activities.
Is EarthAbilities a school?
Although there are concepts from Forest Schools incorporated into the playgroups, EarthAbilities is not a school.

EarthAbilities Playgroups is not an academic curriculum.
How Much does it cost to start an EarthAbilities Playgroup?
Starting an EarthAbilities Playgroup is completely FREE!
Who can set up an EarthAbilities Playgroup?
Non-profit organizations, city, county, state and federal government-run organizations (includes national/state parks, city parks departments, community centers, nature centers, etc.) and schools can set up EarthAbilities Playgroups free of charge.
